Helen Gulgun Bukulmez will be presenting on the issue of Benefits of Full
Disclosure of Medical Errors at this years conference.
Bukulmez has earned a Juris Doctor degree from Northern Kentucky
University’s Chase College of Law. After graduation from law school, she
taught Medical Law and Ethics classes and served as the Interim Director of
Education at MedTech College in Lexington, Kentucky. In order to effectively
achieve her goals in these positions, she worked with, mentored, and
provided guidance to healthcare professionals, including RNs, CMAs, and
Medical Billing and Coding Professionals.
In her legal career, she worked with prominent law firms and distinguished
federal judges. She is certified in Global Arbitration Law and Practice from
Queen Mary University of London, U.K. She speaks three languages and shares
her ideas and thoughts on her blog at HelenBukulmez.com.
In her past life in Europe, she utilized her education in Business
Administration and served in various leadership positions in the education
and textile industries.
She is an enthusiastic member of Health Watch USA in Kentucky, and aims to
prevent hospital acquired infections and the resulting litigation by
increasing awareness both for the patient and for the medical professionals,
and by utilizing effective communication and alternative dispute resolution
techniques such as arbitration and negotiation.
